Perfect Timing

So, I haven't been keeping as up-to-date as I wish that I could so here is just the tiniest snipet of what has been going on. Basically, I love England, and rather than wanting to go home I just wish everyone could come to me. =] Last Thursday the amazing Mr. Dave Sylvester decided it would be a nice day to cancel classes, rent a big bus, and take the whole school to this amazing place with a trail along a river and tons of daffodils. There weren't as many daffodils as we expected but it was still an amazing day! I mean, we got to miss classes and spend the day out! and it was SUNNY! the weekend went by mostly as normal just hanging around the flats and doing some homework, oh except we gardened saturday morning! It was soooo fun! and so last night I was almost abnormally calm and not worrying about anything at all.. and today I wake up totally sick. =\ head hurts, runny and stopped up nose (how does that work?), coughing, and soooo tired. Plus I look as miserable as I feel, how wonderful. But, wouldn't you know what perfect timing there is. As I was feeling awful but still attempting to get all my homework under control.... a LETTER comes!! from CHELSEA!! yay! I love chelsea she has been one of my best friends in this entire world since the 5th grade.. 8 years! and since I have been here I haven't been able to keep in touch with her a ton so oooooof coooourse it totally brightened this dull day. =D and now I'm going to write her back and read and then before long I'm off to bed. brand new week of classes starts tomorrow! I'll post some awesome pics soon..

Divine Appointment

..is happening so much! Last weekend all day on saturday, and yesterday on the train! It was BEYOND amazing!

This weekend we (Allee, Rachel, Kyle, & James) are all in Newcastle! and it's going pretty great so far. Like I said, the train ride was so awesome. Last night we had the best sleep in a while on an amazing couch (allee and I) and today we babysat almost all day. But it's just so cool to see these people working so hard on their new building and to see how much they're being blessed and to be able to help out in any way at all. The practical stuff really means so much.

Speaking of which, I leave in one week for our outreach to Cambridge (with Lydia, Jordan, Aaron, and Alex) where we will also be doing some practical things I believe. I'm so excited! We're all going to be like one big family (because all of us plus the 5 member family will be under one roof!) While I'm there I may also get to go to an ACTUAL jazzercise class. YAY! I miss it so much. Oh, and on top of that, the lady over all of them in England is whose class I'll be at! amazing!

i miss texas, and i miss its food. i miss my nephew and my baby sis, and ALL my family. i miss CCParis TX, i miss jazzercise. and i miss those crazy people i call friends. =]

(but i do love my home in England!)

LET IT SNOW BABY!!

Hey everyone! Sorry I haven’t been able to write much, the internet situation at the moment is crazy! Love you all!!

(Journal Entry from Feb. 2nd 2009 – 11:50pm)

“Today was registration/orientation, a cookout, and we were greeted with a “welcome snow.” It was beautiful! Where I’m from we don’t get a lot of snow & when we do actually get it, it doesn’t last very long. So, for me, to wake up AND go to sleep with gorgeous snow on the ground after playing in the falling snow all day…. Amazing!

As I was pondering the snow & thanking the Lord for it and its beauty He showed me two things.

First, He is going to reveal Himself to me in the simplest of things. He reminded me that just as when this snow is gone it’s just dark slippery slush so too without the Lord our hearts are that same messy mush, but He has purified us & made us new… as white as snow!

Also, He is going to bless me in the simplest of ways. Just as I was blessed by it snowing, so would He bless simply in other ways. With classes starting tomorrow He revealed to me that yes, He is going to do a major work this semester but He is also going to work simply… with things such as helping me realize that when I sleep with my head on the other side of the bed I fit more comfortably in the lumpy misshapen bed. =] and not only will He bond new wonderful friendships but He will help me not show my bad mood, even when it’s a really bad one, when that’s the last think my new friend needs in that moment.

I love the way He works! He showed me this just through the snow!

I LOVE THE SNOW!! =D

just arriving.

So the trip itself was very interesting. Our first flight was delayed by almost an hour, but we still arrived on time.. crazy huh? Anyways I sat by a lovely man who has daughters my age and has traveled a lot! So we exchanged stories a majority of the way and he gave me some tips and told me some places i definitely need to see! He also gave me his business card in case i have any questions. awesome. Then on the flight from Philly I was next to Amanda. She was also on her way to school, taking a semester to study abroad. She was also very nice and we had fun talking and everything.

So... England is amazing! Even though it is crazy cold. I love it already. I'm meeting so many people and that is absolutely wonderful because i loooooove meeting new people and theyre all so fascinating. I can already feel the Lord moving immensely just meeting people. He is ready to do a rad work this semester! Its so funny how almost everyone knows atleast one or two people that someone else does. Its a small CC world. =]

Pictures soon I promise!

looooove-

should I be packing?

England is only 10 days away. (WHOA!) So, obviously in most conversations I have with people,it comes up, and no joke.. EVERY person asks me if I'm packed yet. Should I be?! I mean I understand being ready and all, but I have to wear those clothes! haha. I can't believe that it is so close, but it probably won't even feel real until I'm in the air. This will be the longest I've ever been away from home, and I don't usually ever get home sick, but again.. the longest ever. I also don't know a single person that is going to be there. This is shaping up to be quite an exciting and new adventure. So as I get the last few things together (and start packing next monday!) I'm nervous/excited, but so ready!

only 4 weeks?

Okay, so for a while it seemed like I had forever before it was time to leave, and now all of a sudden it seems like I have no time at all! Suddenly I have plans to go to all these different places and see all these people and I don't even know how I'm going to fit it all in! But all I know is that no matter what plans actually happen or what plans get cancelled I am excited for the month of January! So much is going on and its looking like it's going to be an amazing start to the New Year! And all these events will call for many a blog to be posted =D
